Season of the Witch, Book Series:

Season of the Witch is a YA fantasy series by April L Wood, about four elemental witches named Winter Rose-Thorne, Spring Widow-Tears, Summer Wormwood, and Autumn Devil-Claw, who hail from the four quarters of the world, but have been chased from their respective homelands by Witch Hunters. The clans find refuge in a small city in the USA, where they carry out their traditions, attend school with humans, and fall under the spell of romance. While they’ve escaped persecution, they can’t outrun their otherworldy problems, and other personal teenage dramas.

Editorial Reviews

“Wood springs the extraordinary on you in the most ordinary of ways, slipping it in-between the action. From slushy tears to segregation curses to broom flying contests to pennyroyal oil tea, Wood’s imaginative talent shines through…” – Literary Fiction Author KP Ambroziak

“April L. Wood has a gift. She conjures up very real magic with words, breathing life into a world full of love, laughter, ancient witchcraft, and color. I see color when I read her books. I don’t know how she does it, but I see everything that she describes in vivid detail and astounding shades of greens, blues, violets, pinks. I don’t know of many authors who can do that, I truly admire the few who can. Ms. Wood, thank you for your characters. Thank you for your stories. Thank you for sharing your magic.”– YA and Horror Author Jacqueline E Smith
